Students at our high school are taking important steps to prepare for their futures, and one of the biggest opportunities helping them do so is The Humboldt Promise.
The Humboldt Promise is a scholarship that fully pays for academic courses students choose to take after high school, giving them a strong foundation for success beyond graduation. Because of this opportunity, many students are motivated to work harder now in order to qualify and make the most of what the Promise offers.
At Humboldt, students have access to a wide range of opportunities that help them prepare for life after high school. Many students have begun working on their required community service hours, understanding that giving back to the community not only helps others but also builds responsibility and character. Community service teaches valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership and time management, which are important for both college and future careers. By starting early, students are able to complete these requirements without stress while gaining meaningful experiences along the way.
In addition to community service, many students are putting in extra time on homework and academics to maintain the qualifications needed for The Humboldt Promise. Students recognize that strong grades and consistent effort will open doors for them in the future. Spending more time studying helps students develop good habits, such as discipline and perseverance, which will benefit them long after high school ends.
The Humboldt Promise is an excellent opportunity for students, especially those who begin preparing early. It encourages students to stay focused on their goals and take responsibility for their education. By completing community service, dedicating more time to academics and planning ahead, students at our school are actively preparing for a successful future. The efforts students make today will help ensure they are ready for the challenges and opportunities that come after high school.
